Providence Bible Church (PBC) is a growing faith-based community dedicated to worshiping God in Spirit and truth, growing in knowledge of God through discipleship and fellowship, serving one another and our community, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are currently seeking a God honoring and passionate Pastor of Student Ministries to direct our Junior High and High School students. The successful Youth Pastor will demonstrate an active relationship with Jesus Christ sustained through the practice of personal spiritual disciplines and adherence to the PBC Mission Statement. Responsibilities include leading youth group, overseeing youth programs, and teaching and preaching to middle school and high school students. Candidates should have ministry and leadership experience, preferably in student ministries.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Create a youth program that emphasizes: evangelism, discipleship, leadership development according to 2 Tim. 2:2
• Create outward-looking opportunities for teens to engage the community with the gospel
• Provide ministry opportunities, such as; short-term mission trips
• Incorporate teens into the larger church ministry through volunteer involvement
• Coordinate with the Children’s Ministry Director
• Facilitate SOUL gatherings and recruit adult volunteers
• Develop youth ministry budget for annual review
• Oversee and provide leadership for youth Sunday School
• Attend PBC church services and business meetings where appropriate
• Other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently working toward one) or higher in Biblical studies or Ministry.
• Ability to interpret, apply and teach scripture.
• By personal example and encouragement, foster an environment of spiritual development to adolescents and adults.
• Ability to plan, budget, and implement ministry events.
• Ability to use a computer and basic office related software applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means using English grammar and vocabulary.
